Fulham v Chelsea
Its time for revenge as Chelsea take the short trip down the road to play near neighbours Fulham FC tomorrow afternoon at Craven Cottage.
Revenge - Well only last March Fulham inflicted a 1-0 defeat on the Champions and to make matters worse, Didier Drogba had a goal disallowed for hand-ball only after Fulham players made a whole heap of fuss and got the Ref to consult his Assistant before the goal was ruled-out.
The problem was neither Ref or his Assistant could have seen the handball in the first place. Then right at the death, Willie G now playing for Arsenal, was sent off and then at the final whistle audacious Fulham fans invaded the pitch and tried to kick off with the Chelsea fans.
Oh how outrageous!!
Fulham should be easy meat. They lost in midweek to Wycombe in the Carling Cup, despite fielding a near strength full team, but injuries have depleted their squad even further. But it is a derby and anything can happen.
Just look at the game at Craven Cottage in March. It was Fulham's first victory over Chelsea in the top flight for 46 years.
Chelsea will be without Ballack (suspended) and Joe Cole (injured) although Joe took part in most of the training sessions held at Cobham this week.
So a victory tomorrow will stand us in good stead for the Champions League encounter next week against Levski Sofia in Bulgaria and then back to the Premiership for the League game against Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa.
